(Redirected from ZANU)
The Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) was a militant organization involved in the national liberation struggle in Zimbabwe. It was formed after a split occurred in its predecessor, the Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU), in 1963. Both ZANU and ZAPU were major participants in Zimbabwe's liberation war. ZANU's military arm was called the Zimbabwe African National Liberation Army (ZANLA).[1][2]
