Giorgia Meloni (born 15 January 1977) is a far-right Italian politician who has served as the first female Prime Minister of Italy since 2022. Meloni has also served as president of the Brothers of Italy (Fdl) since 2014 and previously served as president of the European Conservatives and Reformists Party from 2020 to 2025. She also previously served as Minister for Youth Policies from 2008 to 2011 under Silvio Berlusconi.

Meloni has consistently attacked the judiciary, bourgeois democratic structures and the media in order to consolidate her power whilst passing repressive legislation on migration and LGBT rights.
