Area B is where Palestinians live but are policed and surveilled by the occupying Israeli forces. Area B spans 22% of the West Bank and contains the majority of the territory’s rural Palestinian population. While Area A covers the major cities, Area B encompasses hundreds of villages and the outskirts of large towns.
